DUROCHAIN Metric Roller Chains

Metric roller chains dimensionally conform with ISO and British Standards (BS). The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was developed in 1947 to standardize electrical and industrial components worldwide, while the British Standards Institution (BSI) was created to standardize parts throughout the United Kingdom. The combination of conformance with ISO and BS Standards means that our metric roller chains will operate in various applications worldwide without complications. At DUROCHAIN, we looked at our metric chains past their dimensional conformances. Each size is manufactured with specific features to best suit the pitch of the chain's capabilities. Doing so gives the user the best chain performance and the highest degree of energy transmission from the drive to the system. Features on specific sizes such as; solid rollers, solid bushings, quad-staked rivets, and pre-loading all increase strength, durability, and performance. We supply metric roller chain sizes 03B - 56B in simplex through quadruplicate configurations.

Single-Strand Metric Roller Chains

Simplex metric roller chains are also commonly known as single-strand roller chains. They consist of a single row of roller chains and can also be designated with a -1 behind the chain size. Duplex Metric Roller Chains

Duplex roller chains are also commonly known as double-strand roller chains. They consist of two singular strands of roller chains that utilize the same pin and rivets. DUROCHAIN duplex chains have unique features allowing them to outperform other brands, such as specially hardened pins and quad-staked rivets. Double-Pitch Metric Roller chains

Double-pitch metric DUROCHAIN sizes are designed to share the same dimensions as their single-pitch counterpart but with double the pitch size. For example, 08B has a pitch of 12.70mm, and 208B has a pitch of 25.40 (exactly double the pitch of 08B). This purpose is to provide a larger pitch for elongated conveying systems while reducing weight over longer lengths. Additionally, double-pitch metric chains utilize the "dog bone" shape side plates and often will have an "A" placed before the part #. We carry double pitch metric roller chains sizes 208B through 224B and pitch sizes 25.40mm through 76.20mm. Hollow Pin Metric Chains

Hollow pin roller chains are designed with a through-hole in place of where a normal "solid" pin would be. The purpose of this is for the chains to be used in conveying or elevating applications with the ability to suspend a through-rod or another device between the chains.We carry hallow pin metric roller chains sizes 08BHP through 16BHP and pitch sizes 12.70mm through 25.40mm.
